colindun Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 If I want to use a colour from one document in another, is there an easy way to ‘remember’ that colour? When I sample the colour using the colour picker in document B, then switch to document A to colour an object there, the colour I sampled has vanished from the swatches primary/secondary colours and reverted to defaults. I eventually had to copy and paste an object of the right colour from document B into A, sample it, colour the object I wanted coloured, then delete the object I had pasted. I suspect that there is a much easier way, but damned if I can find it in Affinity Photo Help. Quote
David in Яuislip Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 If you go to the image that you want to sample and use the colour picker the small well 1 will change to that colour. When you go back to where you want to use it the large colour wells will change to whatever but the small 1 will stay the same. Click 1 and 2 will change so that the colour can be used. Either that or copy the hex code walt.farrell 1 Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/10
walt.farrell Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 If you display both documents on the screen at the same time (using Separated Mode on Mac, or by Floating them using the Windows menu on Windows), then you can Pick the color in document B while still editing document A, and use the color in document A. Projectitis Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 This no longer seems to work (Affinity Photo 2.5.7 on Windows). Even floating the windows, picking a colour in one window does not retain that colour in the other window Quote
