Windows HEIC problems

I'm a new user of Affinity Photo.

When I opened a .HEIC image downloaded from my wife's iPhone, all that is displayed are tan and black blocks, not the image, even though Windows Photos displays it just fine.

Am I doing something wrong?

Attached is a screen cap of the image in Affinity and Windows Photos...

Hi @rpleak Welcome to the forums.

Would you be able to attach the actual .HEIC file so I can check it out on my systems to see if the same occurs.
