Glow doesn't follow shape outlines well

I have attached a screenshot comparing what Affinity Photo does when I apply a outer glow to an arrow shape, vs the exact same thing when done with Adobe Fireworks CS6

I expect the glow to follow the arrow's outline completely, just like how Fireworks does it. No combination of radius and intensity in Affinity is able to achieve the same effect

You're right, and trying other effects don't help, since there's bugs, or some options to mix them are needed
