Rockette Hill Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 I have lots of rings of concentric circles. When I try to enlarge the rings the circles begin to develop corners. How do I keep them circular when I scale up? Facebook head 820x312 11.05.21.afdesign Quote
Staff MEB Posted August 2, 2021 Staff Posted August 2, 2021 Hi @Rockette Hill, Welcome to Affinity Forums How did you create some of those circles originally? Any chance you have used the Rounded Rectangle tool to draw a square with the corners set to 100% (looks like a circle) or did you used the Ellipse Tool all the time? Rockette Hill Posted August 2, 2021 Author Posted August 2, 2021 Yes they are created from squares with the corners maxed to make them squares. . Quote
iconoclast Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 You made the circles outoff squares? Why? Why not with the ellipse tool? However, if you select one of your circles with the Move tool (better select the layer of the circle - will be easier) just hold the Shift key to keep the aspect ratio and drag the circle on the corner of the frame. Staff MEB Posted August 2, 2021 Staff Posted August 2, 2021 I see you have used the Corner Tool to round the rectangles to make them circles (not the Rounded Rectangle Tool as i initially thought). To fix them select each layer individually (those that are developing corners which contain various circles per layer), switch to the Corner Tool, drag a selection marquee around all the nodes, then re-adjust the corners with the Corner Tool until they become circles again.
