Hi,

When you create a 'New Astrophotography Stack ...', you can just select a folder and AP imports all the images in it - which sales you from having to open the folder then select all the files inside.

BUT- AP doesn't work that way for 'New Stack ...' - you have to open the folder and manually select all the image files inside the parent folder.

IMHO - AP should work the same was for regular stacks as it does for Astro stacks.

Its much easier to select a folder than to open the folder and select the images inside it - which can be hundreds of images for Astro work. :)

That is not related to the Beta, and it would be better as a Feature Request.

Hi Waly,

Thanks for your post ...

I'm new to Affinity and Ive never really used v 1.9 - only the beta v1.10.

The Affinity tutorials (whichare excellent BTW) make a point of explaining that stacks can be created from folders of files rather than selecting individual files, so I assumed this was something new to V1.10.

Cheers,

Gary

Thanks for that background info, Gary.

The way you create an astrophotography stack may have been improved in the beta. I'm not sure, as I don't use that function and I'm away from the computer with Affinity Photo installed so I can't check.

However, the Beta forums are for discussion of new problems that the betas have introduced, and for discussion of problems in the betas new functions, or for suggestions speciically about those new functions.

Any suggestions about other functions that are not new to the beta are supposed to go in the normal Feature Requests forum.

Thanks Walt,

Yes - I understand what you say, but Ive never used v1.9 so I'm not familiar with whether something is old, or new, or an 'undocumented feature (aka a bug) :)

I was assuming that, because of the way creating stacks is explained in the tutorials, that this was something 'new' in the beta.
