Shapes - What are their "key points" in snapping in Designer

Recommended Posts

Hi Anyone  :)

Is there a list of the key snapping points of an object are ?

For Example - is the radius of a curve or the centre of a circle a "Key Point"  of a shape in Designer?

The HELP online manual is not very helpful.. I want to snap to the centre of a circle

thx

I think the best way is to enable Snap to object bounding boxes and under that enable Include bounding box mid points:

I'm not sure either what a 'shape key point' is but it doesn't always seem to produce a snap to the centre of a circle. I suspect that the centre of a circle is never itself a snapping candidate - the snap is to the 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock points on the boundary of the circle.

I find that point transform tool is a hidden gem. It really gives some features I can not find in other tools. Here it snaps center of a circle to a curve.
