Paul Martin Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 I'm trying to insert into my newsletter a hyperlink to a PDF suppled by a contributor. It has been supplied to me in an odd format apparently used in Wordpress.com which is "filename.pdf (wordpress.com)". My Publisher document exports to a PDF but the hyperlink is inactive. I have tried creating a bit.ly link and inserting that but no dice. The link I have been given works when pasted directly into FIrefox, so I am baffled as to why it doesn't on this occasion. I've had no problem with exporting to PDF from Publisher before. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Quote

At the risk of stating the obvious, web links will be inactive if you export the document as a press-ready PDF. Paul Martin Posted July 30, 2021 Author Posted July 30, 2021 Duh! The bleedin' obvious it is! What I'm now baffled by is why this hasn't troubled me before and what is the best option to choose instead. As ever, thank you, Alfred Alfred 1 Quote

Just make sure you avoid ‘for print’, ‘press ready’, and any flavour of PDF/X.
