I started a 90-day trial less than 2 months ago, on Windows 10 Home 19043.1110. Still using the trial version. I want to switch from Adobe to Affinity in September maybe October. Today, while working on a 200 pages file, I got a missing resource error message (missing pdf file), and the application crashed. I've done everything, changed the file name, the folder, trying to open the file on another computer, nothing is working.

I did change some folder names a few days ago, but not today. The file is 15.3 MB, 200 pages.

Maybe you have another workaround since changing the name of the file, the folder, etc., isn't working, and I also tried to open another file before opening this one, but the app is still crashing.

I hope I can get this resolved ASAP! Thank you!

If you need a copy of the file, please send me a private upload link.

Hi @Gabe,

Thank you for your message.

I already tried to open the file with versions 1.9.0 and 1.9.1, and with the beta version, but it is still crashing.

Thank you for your help!

Jo

Hi @JoKalin,

I split this into a new thread as we like to keep crash reports separate.

Can you upload your file using this link? https://www.dropbox.com/request/7hT67sfejthuXnJ1Us9Y

Where was the .afpub file stored? Local drive / external drive / cloud?

Thanks. I will get this logged with our developers. In the meantime, you can fix the document by creating a new empty a4 doc, then go to Document > Add pages from file and select this doc. It should import everything in the right place.
