SoulSurfer Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 Hi there, Can someone assist? I have tried to download the rain, snow and rainbow overlays, but I keep encountering the same problem. It doesn't even start and indicates a problem, but no solution. What are your thoughts? My setup is: iMac 27 with i9, 32gb and 2tb SSD Big Sur latest version Thank you. First, you might want to edit that screenshot and obscure your email address Beyond that, do you get any error messages? Or does anything show when you click on the error icon? You could try signing out and signing back in. stokerg and SoulSurfer 2 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. SoulSurfer Posted July 29, 2021 Author Posted July 29, 2021 Thank you @walt.farrell I hadn't thought of that. This was the extent of the message provided. I ended up manually adding the assets to my app, but it is still puzzling. There was no further info provided. I have a fiber connection with GB bandwidth so it isn't about that, I am sure. walt.farrell Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 The "Click for details" perhaps means to expand the entry by clicking on the triangle on the left. But it could mean to click on the icon (you seem to be hovering over it in the screenshot). SoulSurfer Posted July 29, 2021 Author Posted July 29, 2021 Nah, that just expands the selection to show all the assets and whatever guides are there. I thought of that too. Quote JP iMac 27 i9 32gb/2TB SSD LG 27MD5KLB-B Monitor Mac OS Big Sur
walt.farrell Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 OK. Did you actually click on the error icon, or just hover over it as the tooltip seems to indicate? SoulSurfer Posted July 29, 2021 Author Posted July 29, 2021 Hi Walt, I did all that. I am a retired I.T. person quite familiar with trying to debug some of these issues (you would not know this so I thought is best to share). The odd thing though, is that I can go to the website and download the assets, then manually add them to the app. this indicates that it may be an issue with the app itself. My next thought would be to delete the app and reinstall it. What are your thoughts? Quote JP iMac 27 i9 32gb/2TB SSD LG 27MD5KLB-B Monitor Mac OS Big Sur
SoulSurfer Posted July 29, 2021 Author Posted July 29, 2021 Nah. tried removing the app then reinstalling. Same issue. I guess I will need to manually add assets for now. Quote JP iMac 27 i9 32gb/2TB SSD LG 27MD5KLB-B Monitor Mac OS Big Sur
SoulSurfer Posted July 29, 2021 Author Posted July 29, 2021 Oh-oh. Problem solved YOU WERE RIGHT! I signed out and signed back in again and it solved it. THANK YOU! Proving yet again that however smart I think I am, I can still do dumb things 🤣 walt.farrell 1 Quote JP iMac 27 i9 32gb/2TB SSD LG 27MD5KLB-B Monitor Mac OS Big Sur
