KSetia Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 I got the afmacro file shared by a photographer. How can I convert it into afmacros file so that I can use it in Library instead of opening an image first then selecting Macro menu instead. Quote

Then you can import macros from there. Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed
h_d Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 Import the .afmacro, then in the Macros panel click the Add to Library button (second from left, plus sign and three squares): Give the macro a name and assign it to one of the categories in your Library: It will then be available under that category in the Library panel: Quote Affinity Photo 2.6.3, Affinity Designer 2.6.3 Affinity Publisher 2.6.3, Mac OSX 15.5, 2018 MacBook Pro 15" Intel.
KSetia Posted July 29, 2021 Author Posted July 29, 2021 Thanks h_d. By the way, what is the reason for Affinity Photo to differentiate between these two formats: afmacro and afmacros? Why not just creating afmacros instead because it is simpler. If one uses Macro menu instead, one needs to open an image first then import the afmacro but it can only be used one time only while in Library, one can use it many times. Quote

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

For a single use or very rarely used macro there is no reason to save it to the library 2. If you just wanted to send one macro from a library (category) of different macros to other people, it's easier to just extract that macro as a .afmacro file rather than export that entire collection (category) of macros, as a .afmacros file, and send them stuff they don't need. 3. If you send a .afmacros file to someone they have no choice but to install it into their copy of APhoto in order to use it. If you send a .afmacro file it does not get installed and the user can test it and then decide if they want to keep it permanently, and thus install it, or not.
