Goblin13 Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 (edited) I Made a Logo for my music. (it's temporary for an album i'm doing so it fits the project) but for some reason, since re-downloading Affinity onto this new computer, nothing i've done is coming out sharp, clean and smooth around the edges. (I Do not make these png's/clipart in Affinity) and i never have, but i use Affinity to create Album covers and drag and drop clip art onto the project, but they continually come out "shitty". what do i do ? is their a way to smooth them out and make them look more "professional" ? thanks. Their are Two different Logos below. the Orange and yellow "gobliiin" Logo is my original i made months back using Pixlr and a font i paid for, I've used it on many designs in Affinity and it came out nice and pro looking, but the dragon one and everything else keeps coming out jagged, and looking like a five year old did it in paint. the "drawing nightmares" cd cover i made using Affinity before this new computer turned out awesome ! I Was happy with how smooth the Clipart came out including the fonts. what is wrong ??? The dragon one is just off. i'd like the edges to be cleaner, smoother and the white part and green lettering to look smooth too. Edited July 28, 2021 by Goblin13 Quote
John Rostron Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 What is the resolution (dpi/ppi) of your png and the target project? If there is a mismatch, this can lead to poor quality. John Quote Windows 11, Affinity Photo 2.4.2 Designer 2.4.2 and Publisher 2.4.2 (mainly Photo). CPU: Intel Core i5 8500 @ 3.00GHz. RAM: 32.0GB DDR4 @ 1063MHz, Graphics: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
Goblin13 Posted July 29, 2021 Author Posted July 29, 2021 Dimensions : 1788 x 2236 32bit depth. I'm new to Resolution/size etc. it's just insane how these same Png's came out looking smooth and nice before in Afinity, but now they don't. even the ones' i've currently used. is their some way for me step by step to change the resolution to maybe make them better ?
