Hi, I have a problem with affinity photo trial that i use at the moment. The problem will occur around 5-15 minutes work with layers and brushes. Keep crashing and go to windows blue screen stop code. I tried everything, reinstall all my grahics cards driver, updating windows to the latest, doing sfc /scannow, scanning virus, even get help from windows stopcode support. And nothing can help me fix the problem, it keep crash and got to blue screen stopcode.

Is this happening because i use trial version?

Hello @vieles welcome to the forums.

BSODs are usually caused by faulty or outdated drivers. The stop code indicates which driver or which process led to the BSOD (blue screen of death).

Without knowledge of this, it is very difficult to help.
With a small tool (Bluescreenviewer) you can read out some more information and post it here.

You can download it here: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

Hi @vieles,

I'm just replying to back up the reply from @Komatös, the BSOD will be caused by a driver and it will most likely be the graphics card driver.  So make sure they are up to date and even do a clean install of them and it should stop the crash from happening.

hello @Komatös thank you for your time to answer my question.

This is what happen, i tried to use affinity photo again, use brushes and layers. After a while, Affinity photo got crash (not responsible) i waited but nothing happen just the cursor keep spinning like the image and i pressed CTRL+ALT+DEL button and my laptop show the windows stop code.

I looked the solution for my windows stopcode errors from google and i tried to uninstall and reinstall all my graphic cards. I use Intel(R)UHD Graphics 630 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, 8 GB RAM and the newest windows 10 update.

Affinity photo keep occur to "not responding" and shows to Stop code: Driver_Power_State_Failure, in an hour this will happen around 3 times and i wasted my time to keep restarting my laptop.

Driver Power State Failure under Windows 10 - this could be the cause:
The error message DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE in Windows 10, in connection with a blue screen, usually occurs shortly after booting up or shutting down the computer. This can often be traced back to a driver problem. To check this, look for damaged drivers and reinstall them. This is how you need to proceed:

Open your device manager. Right-click on the start button to select the manager from the list. You can also press the Windows key on your keyboard, enter "Device Manager" and confirm with Enter.
Now look for devices with an exclamation mark.
Once you have found such an entry, select it with the right mouse button and click on "Update driver".
A new window opens. If you select the upper button, Windows will automatically search for a driver update.
If your system does not find any updates for the device, you can completely uninstall the driver of the hardware component and then reinstall it.
To do this, select the device in question again with the right mouse button and uninstall the driver manually.
After the next PC restart, your hardware will be automatically reinstalled.

Hello @stokerg, thank you to respons my question.

i already do update my graphics card driver, both of them. But the Affinity photo (not responding) still happen, if this happen i didn't wait to long to press CTRL+ALT+DEL

Updating the drivers does not protect against errors caused by faulty driver components that may not be updated.

If errors occur, it is always advisable to completely dispose of the old drivers. For graphics card drivers, the programme Display Driver Uninstaller helps.
