Paste within a selection

Hi Affinity team!
Let me start by thanking you for a great product.

I would really like to see the option to paste within a specific selection, marked by the the marquee tool.

Say I copy a selection from a pixel layer, move the selection, and then do a paste, I would expect the clipboard to be pasted within the now moved selection. As default though, the clipboard is simply pasted in the same location as the original image. So what I’m asking for is a kind of “Paste into selection” option?

I know something similar can be done by duplicating a selection and then move it with the move tool. That way you keep the borders of the selection, which you can use as a guideline. Though that doesn’t work when copying from one document to another.
