Why crop tool doesn't support ctrl / shift actions like move tool?

Hello, yet another question: move tool have this feature if I have ctrl or shift or both pushed - I able to resize symmetrically or resize saving proportions. Why crop tool doesn't support these functions? Or it is, and I just have to enable this?

holding shift should be working with the Crop Tool depending on which app you are using please could you provide a screen recording of this?

Here, works well for the move tool, but doesn't for the crop.

I've wondered about this myself. The Ctrl and Shift modifier keys effect resizing of objects, like curves, but don't do anything when cropping.

Shift and Ctrl do work when cropping in APhoto, but not in the same way as they do when moving/sizing objects.

Holding Ctrl allows you to use the straighten tool while cropping and holding Shift constrains rotation to 15deg increments. (Shift + o will alter the orientation of the Golden Spiral Overlay.)

Yeah, I didn't word my comment correctly. Ctrl and Shift keys do things, but I wish I had the ability to constrain cropping the way I can with objects via modifier keys.
