Mark Oehlschlager Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 Presently, Affinity Photo uses different levels of indentation to distinguish between Child Layers and Clipping Mask Layers. The level of indentation is not always clear, and neither is the relation of the layers to one another. Please consider adding a symbol to the layers to more clearly and directly indicate the role a layer plays, either as a Child Layer, or as a Clipping Mask Layer. kirk23, Krustysimplex, Ron P. and 1 other 4 Quote

GarryP Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 I also agree. The Layers Panel could do with some extra visual indication as to how layers are nested. This would be especially useful with multiply-nested layers where a slight horizontal shift may not be enough of a change to quickly differentiate the relation. Frozen Death Knight 1 Quote
kirk23 Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 +1. Although I can say I hardly use child layers . They are very inconvenient and limited in options Quote
