Monique Ingels Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 I am a new user, and after buying affinity photo, I am trying some things out. I opened a raw file, and made some first adjustments, they all worked well, exept for the curves. When this layer I get the wondow with the diagonal line, but it is all in black and white (no colours to be seen). When I change the line upwards or downwards, my picture turns green. Beneath the window I choose RGB, master...etc, so the default things. What goes wrong? The histogram looks normal..... curves.docx Quote
Monique Ingels Posted July 26, 2021 Author Posted July 26, 2021 To be more precise, I also added a screenshot of the picture after the adjustment 'curves' curves.docx Quote

Monique Ingels Posted July 27, 2021 Author Posted July 27, 2021 I hope you are very happy with Boris Johnson. Our prime minister is Alexander De Croo, who is always really dressed up nicely, in contradiction to Boris. No, my English is not perfect. Probably your knowledge of Dutch will be much better! Quote

I tried replicating this problem with various CR2 files I have. (I also shoot Canon cameras), running through about every Blend Modes, settings in the Curves Adjustment, and simply can not replicate this. It would appear you're using the LAB or CMYK settings in the Curve Adjustment, however like I stated, I simply can not replicate this. So knowing everything you done prior to getting this green appearance could help, especially the afphoto file. Monique Ingels Posted July 27, 2021 Author Posted July 27, 2021 Thanks for your reply Ron, Yesterday, it was my first try, I read some tutorials and started. I hardly did a thing.....I had this problem from the beginning. Today I installed the program on another computer, a HP envy. Everything worked well, so no problem with the curves. I am working on a HP Omen currently, a friend suggested that it might be due to the graphical card...? Loading a new photo, it even became worse: the picture looks very magenta, which is not the case in reality. Using the curves, I definately choose RGB and a normal blend mode as you can see. Perhaps I have some wrong settings? I make some screenshots of them. I tried to upload the afphoto-file, but upload failed 2 times Quote

Ron P. Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 I agree this could be due to your graphics card. Make sure the drivers are up to date. Don't rely on Windows to provide the most current drivers. Go to the manufacture's website to get the most current. I don't think this would cause your problem, but you might try disabling the Hardware Acceleration to see if that may correct it. Monique Ingels Posted July 27, 2021 Author Posted July 27, 2021 Thank you Ron, I will try to do so... The strang thing is also: I have no problems with Lightroom/photoshop, the program I was using up till now. Because of the high price (I am not a frequent user) I am trying Affinity out.....I hope I get this problem solved. Quote

P_Monty Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 I don't think it's a graphics card issue as the histograms are showing massive colour shifts. Wouldn't a graphics card issue show a colour tint with a neutral looking histogram? Quote
