Trevor A Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 I am just doing the final check before sending the file to the printer for printing. Affinity Publisher 1.9.2.1035 (on Windows 10) has been crashing all morning and will not open the version of the file that I saved last night. I have gone back to the file saved two days ago and AfPub has now opened that without a problem. However, I have more than a day's work fine-tuning linked images since that version, so now I want to put them in the directory that holds the linked images, one by one, to give Publisher time to accept each one, but I am greeted with the message "The file could not be opened because permission was denied." These are the same images that are already in the document, slightly modified for colour and contrast in Photoshop. How can I overcome this horrific hurdle? I have promised to send the file to the printing company, but now can't incorporate hours and hours of work!! Someone PLEASE give me a solution. Thank you! Trevor Quote
MikeTO Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 While waiting for somebody more knowledgeable to answer your question you could try changing the default application to open that image format type from Affinity Photo to Photoshop or vice versa, just reverse whatever it is.
