jaizon Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Hey, I just noticed a "bug" but I don't know how to report it, it is happening in the beta build, the standard build doesn't have it an I loaded the same file in both. That's what is happening: I was following a tutorial and then i set a layer to screen, after that I was supposed to give a mask to that layer, but I noticed that when doing so the effect was lost. I can share the file if needed. The thing is, adding a mask, changes the way the layer is interpreted, even though the mask is full white, meaning there shouldn't be any visual changes. Ok, as proof I'll have 3 screenshots, one of them doesn't have the mask and it shows the reflection effect I was aiming for. the other one has the mask added and it is white of course but the effect is gone. the last one I disabled the mask and the effect is back. The layer is set to screen but I don't know what the problem is. I also opened in the normal AP version and it is working just fine, only in the beta I see that problem. Taça-Transparencia.afphoto
Komatös Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 I don't see any difference in both versions (retail & beta). Only when I deactivate the Taça group and deactivate/activate the Reflexo_Base layer do I see a minimal difference. Well, here on beta when I add a mask to the "Reflexo_Base", even though the mask is white and shouldn't affect the image it does affect it. I recorded the thing and changed the file a bit, the only thing that needs change is the "Reflexo_Base" layer, try just adding a mask to it and turning it on and off. 2021-07-21 07-51-02.mp4 Taça-Transparencia.afphoto Edited July 21, 2021 by jaizon
NotMyFault Posted August 16, 2021 Posted August 16, 2021 Cannot reproduce this issue either. The layer "Reflexio_base" has absolutely no impact to the visible image, and adding or hiding a mask to that layer changes nothing. Assuming a GPU driver issue on your PC. As the Windows beta got updated since your initial post, could you please re-test if the issue is still active on your PC? Then please update GPU drivers, and try again with OpenCL deactivated. tested on older beta 1.10.0.1115 Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
