anemos
When I buy a design from Creative Fabrica I usually get the design in various file formats (AI, EPS, SVG and some other file formats) I usually only keep the SVG files because SVG files sizes are much smaller Should I keep the EPS file instead? I am using a Mac
buschbrand
Hi Anemos, https://www.educba.com/svg-vs-eps/ SVG does not work properly for professional printing and it only contains vector information. CMYK ist not available, also. EPS still is the standard for printing (beside PDF) and can contain vector and pixel information. EPS can be RGB and CMYK plus Spot-Colours. anemos
anemos
Bofg and bushbrand thank you for your quick reply maybe I should have clarified that I am using my final designs for print on demand t-shirts and mugs those sites require PNG files
Alfred
If you’re exporting to PNG anyway, there’s no advantage to keeping the original design in multiple formats (especially since you can redownload the originals via your Creative Fabrica account at any time). anemos 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)

anemos
Alfred, one more question I know that I can redownload the Creative Fabrica files but I still like to keep a file on my computer just for security Which file should I keep the EPS file or the SVG file? Alfred
I agree with @BofG (and you yourself, going by what you wrote in your original post to this thread!) that the SVG file is the better choice. anemos 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
