HansA Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 t's a shame that Affinity Photo version 1.9.2.1035, hasn't released an update to make the Nikon Z6II RAW files readable. When I open a Nikon Z6II raw file [NEF] I see only a black picture. The Nikon Z6II is nearly a year on the market. All other major Raw Photo editors, Photoshop, Lightroom and Capture One can read already a Nikon Z6II Raw file without problems. Has someone a clou when AffinityPhote can read this kind of RAW files? Thanks for your answer. Quote

I haven't seen anybody on the LibRaw forums asking for Z6 II support, which might indicate that the files are already handled correctly (even though the camera's not "supported"). Can you open the RAW samples here? Quote AP, AD & APub user, running Win10

I can confirm that we're currently using the 0.2 version of LibRAW in Affinity - however I can see there was a snapshot update that added support for the Nikon Z6 II, which is likely why there's no requests for this model in their forums - https://www.libraw.org/news/libraw-202101-snapshot#:~:text= z 6 ii I will be checking with our developers now, to see if we can implement the latest snapshot of LibRAW in version 1.10 - I hope this helps Quote

v_kyr Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 The Nikon Z6ii is already listed to be supported by the APh libRAW version though ... [FAQ] List of Supported Raw Cameras (1.9.x) for Desktop & Lens Correction list ... on Macs it's supported since BigSur by the alternative Apple RAW engine ... It looks as though there may be a slight mistake here - it's been confirmed that 1.9.2 uses the 0.2 version of LibRAW, which to my understanding does not fully support the Nikon Z6 II (though the file may open in the app, but we don't tend to list devices here until the snapshot officially supports it). However the 1.10 beta versions of the app does include support for the 202101 LibRAW snapshot - so this camera should definitely be supported there. @HansA I recommend downloading the beta version from the below like and testing your RAW file there - does this open as expected please? Many thanks in advance Quote
