Affinity live lighting and procedural filters + autoupdating emdedded docs and linked layers   already make it capable beyond Photoshop  but still  there are few of  odd limitations that doesn't allow to use it  in full potential.

Those fixes   would make Aphoto way beyond  Photoshop IMO:

1. 32bit  CMYK  mode.   We need it badly.   The lack of it  is a reason I  continue to pay Photoshop subscription  and AP for me is rather an interesting and promising toy.   At least a single extra five channel in 32 bit mode  is so necessary to have truly modern non-destructive   image soft.    Would love to have more  but at least  a single one in CMYK  could do it  for AP

2.  Slices remembering their own  set of layers and saving path .  Would make  AP export so easy and automated.   Current export persona  is so useless.

3.  Macro  recorder limitations . in Photoshop you could script almost anything.

4.   Easy  alpha  export for tiffs and tgas without  special tricks .    In fact only 8bit tga export  works currently with special A= 0.001  trick if you want non-black background .   Bet many people abandoned AP after trying it once because  of this.

ps. Please don't waste your time for all the silly AI toys  Photoshop seems so much focused on now.    Just make AP photo a convenient non-destructive  image compositor/ editor.  it's so close already and really need just a few minor tweaks.
