I want to get Affinity Photo for my 15" Intel MacBook Pro.

I want to use it on my future M2 MacBook Air (2022 edition) too.

I have a iPad Pro too. I also have a work Dell Windows 10 laptop.

Q: Is it possible to pay for one license and use it on multiple of my own devices like the way Sublime Text Editor's license is ?

If not, I'll buy next year for my M2 Air.

No, it is not possible to use one licence on several devices. Furthermore, licences purchased for a MacBook, for example, can only be used with a MacBook, just as a licence for Windows can only be used on a Windows PC/laptop.

MAC mini M4 | MacOS Sequoia 15.5 | 16 GB RAM | 256 GB SSD
AMD Ryzen 7 5700X | Sapphire Nitro+ RX 9060 XT 16 GB  | 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz | Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (26100.4351)

Windows 11 Pro on VMWare Virtual Machine (on Mac)
Affinity Suite V 2.6.3 & Beta 2.6 (latest)

No backup, no pity.

It’s perfectly possible to use one licence on several devices, but only if the platform (Mac, Windows, or iPad) is the same. So the OP could use APh for Mac on a MacBook Pro now and a MacBook Air later on, but separate licences would be required for the Windows 10 laptop and the iPad Pro.

Let's forget Windows and iPad Pro.

1 license to be purchased for Intel MBP and M1/M2 MBA ?

Would it be Rs 4499 or Rs 4499 x 2 ? (I don't intend on discarding my Intel MBP when I get my 2022 edition MBA)

OK, I got a message that the licence is already being used on another device and that after activating it on the new device it will no longer run on the old one.

Just one licence should suffice for both machines, as long as you own or control both of them. As for the cost, I would hope it’s only Rs 4499, not Rs 44999!

As far as I’m aware, there’s a device limit for all Microsoft Store apps: the last time I checked, the limit was ten (i.e. not just one or two). There has never been such a limit for the Affinity Store apps.

Edited. My bad for the extra digit.

It'll be good if I can pay one time and use it on 2 of my Macs.

Thanks. I think this answers my question.
