Digs Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 Dear Sir / Madam, I am using Affinity photo 1.9 on Mac Book Pro. I have installed Nik Collection 4.1 as per installation guidelines. I can see plugins appearing in the NiK collection filter. But when I am selecting and clicking on them nothing is happening. Not sure if I am doing anything wrong. Can you please provide guidance? Many Thanks Quote
Digs Posted July 24, 2021 Author Posted July 24, 2021 Additional information : using Apple M1. Plug ins are working in stand alone mode, but nothing happens through Affinity Photo 1.9 Quote
Dan C Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 Hi @Digs, Welcome to the Affinity Forums I can confirm that your plugins may need to be launched through Rosetta, as you're using the new M1 chip, please see the below FAQ regarding this - You can also find more info on DxOs website here - https://support.dxo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020827697-Is-Nik-Collection-4-by-DxO-compatible-with-Apple-M1-chips- I hope this helps! youngmedia Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 [ RESOLVED - Rather than open the Plugins through Photo. I went into one of the Nik apps in the main Nik Software apps folder in Finder. I opened one of the apps through there, entered the activation code, and this seems to have activated all of the Nik Apps. I closed and relaunched Affinity Photo and now the plugins work without asking for an Activation code] Hope that helps someone. Help! I have previously installed Nik Collection 4 before on my 2015 MacBook Pro. All good. Activation code worked well. I just downloaded Nik 4 again and installed it on my new M1 MacBook Pro. The installation seems fine. Same kind of deal as before but I also did the Photo set up to load as 'Open using Rosetta' as mentioned above in this thread. I also cleared prefs. The issue is I can not get most plugins to run. Viveza and Silver seemingly run without the activation code. The rest ... Color, HDR, Sharp 1+2, Analog and Define are throwing an error message when I try and enter my code. When I am trying to fill in my activation codes. It is telling me to ",, Please verify your internet connection, or your activation code, and try again (64). My internet connection is fine and I have tried both copying and pasting the code and also manually entering the code a bunch of times. And double checked it under the My Software section on my Nik account page on their website. Any ideas? Quote
