(Affinity Designer) does anyone know how I could possibly recreate this composition notebook texture?

i'm not really sure how to go about this, and I wasn't able to find anything when I searched the forum. I assume I need to create an artboard, but I specifically am not sure how to recreate the white abstract parts of the pattern.

Artboard {just another content object!} would be a good place to start. but also rectangular shape contained within to give you a bit more control!

Depends whether a complete facsimile of the texture is required.. 

There are several options you could consider to create the background.
A. Pixel/raster image or Vector?
B. With raster you could use virtually any image and use adjustment layers (black/white and Threshold) to create a 'chunky' black and white image
C. Vector (better!)..just choose some vector grunge and scale to cover the area...for texture patterns.. well almost infinite possibilities...Check in resources to see if there is anything suitable.
