Hello,

after importing an IDML - Changed graphic updates in all documents !!

Unfortunately I had to notice that if you change a PDF in the Publisher (so by double - click) which was previously embedded also changes in the other documents where it was included and embedded, but what should not be at all !!!!

This behavior I have also found in the latest beta version.

leider musste ich feststellen das wenn man im Publisher eine PDF ändert (also durch Doppel - Klick) die vorher eingebettet wurde sich auch in den anderen Dokumenten ändert, wo sie enthalten und eingebettet wurde, was aber überhaupt nicht sein dürfte !!!

Dieses Verhalten habe ich auch in der neusten Beta-Version festgestellt.

We cannot save over an existing PDF (only re-export) so not really sure what's going on there. Can you attach a screen recoding of your workflow?

Hello,

Here are two files open in Affinity Publisher. Once the file "File-1.afpub" and the file "File-2.afpub". 

In "File-1." I imported a PDF and embedded it in the document.
The "File-2." is empty for now.
Now I copied the PDF file via the clipboard into the "File-2." and embedded it as well.
By double-clicking on the PDF, the file is opened in Affinity Publisher and you can edit it.
Now I have deleted the hammer.
If you now switch to "File-1.", you can see that the hammer has disappeared there, too.

I have now noticed that this behavior is not only after importing IDML formats, but also with files directly from Affinity Publisher.
but also with files that were created directly by Affinity.

According to my observation, the behavior does not occur when positioning the PDF files via Place.

Hier sind zwei Dateien geöffnet in Affinity-Publisher. Einmal die Datei "Datei-1.afpub" und die Datei "Datei-2.afpub" 

• In "Datei-1." habe ich eine PDF importiert und im Dokument eingebettet.
• Die "Datei-2." ist erst einmal leer.
• Jetzt habe ich die PDF-Datei über die Zwischenablage in die "Datei-2" kopiert und ebenfalls eingebettet.
• Durch einen Doppel-Klick auf die PDF wird die Datei in Affinity Publisher geöffnet und man kann sie bearbeiten.
• Jetzt habe ich den Hammer gelöscht.
• Wenn man jetzt zur "Datei-1." wechselt, sieht man das auch dort der Hammer verschwunden ist.

Habe jetzt festgestellt das dieses Verhalten nicht nur nach dem importieren von IDML-Formaten festzustellen ist
sondern auch bei Dateien die direkt von Affinity erstellt wurden.

Das Verhalten kommt nach meiner Beobachtung nicht vor wenn man die PDF-Dateien über Platzieren positioniert.

Aaah, I see what you mean now. It does seem to only affect documents that are opened during that session. The workaround for now is use File > Place instead of copy/pasting the embedded document. I will get this logged.
