Jim Slade Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 I have an image for the front of a book cover. I would like to "extend" the image over the spine and back cover such that the there is general color alignment with the cover. I was wondering if that might be easily doable. As an aside, for all my tasks on this project I have gotten much better results with Affinity than that other product that you have to pay monthly. Quote
GarryP Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 Can you explain what you mean by “extend” and “general colour alignment”? Without knowing exactly what you have and exactly what you want to do it will be difficult for anyone to give good advice. An example image or two may help. Remember, we can’t see what you can see on your screen and we don’t know what ideas are in your head. Quote

Either a mask with a gradient or Designer's Transparency tool will fade the image to clear so the colour underneath the image will start to show through. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
