Hello!

I SEARCHED all over the forums here and no one seems to have the same problem as I do:

The project is a little more than 7" x 9.5.    2137.5 px pixels x 2850 px pixels.    IT EXPORTS at 513 × 684??????   Attached are screenshots.   I HAVE NO IDEA what I am doing wrong.   I saw in some forums people complaining the PDF is rendering too large?  I WISH I had that problem!

Thank you in advance.  I REALLY have no idea what is going on here.  I've been using Designer since April 2020 and this is the 1st time I'ver seen this.

UPDATE: OK, SOMETHING is weird here.  I exported it as a PSD file...which came out FULL SIZE........   I brought it into Photoshop, and Saved it as a PDF.  Just to see what would happen.... AND AGAIN it is 513 × 684.     So it's not an Affinity thing...  It's a PDF setting thing?

no idea.  Any help, Thanks again in advance.

Hi @GraphicsByGreg,

I think what's happening here is Get Info is defaulting to 72DPI (for some reason).  I created a New Document at 300DPI, export to PDF and check Get Info, i get similar numbers from Get Info.  If i open the same PDF in Designer, and from the PDF options shown, set the DPI to 300 instead of estimate and check the size, everything is the correct size.  Same if i open the export PDF in Acrobat Reader and enable the rulers, the page size is correct, as is using the Properties option on the File, this shows the correct page size.

If i open the same PDF in Designer at 72DPI, then i see the same size as shown by Get Info.  So i don't think its a problem with PDFs and more a problem with how Get Info is reading the PDF.

FWIW:

72/300 = 0.24

0.24 x 2137.5 = 513

0.24 x 2850 = 684
