Page view incorrect when opening Publisher .afpackage saved with Master Page as current page

Recommended Posts

Recipe:

  1. Create a Publisher document, Facing Pages, default Master Page, 1 document page.
  2. Add something to the document page (I used Artistic Text).
  3. Switch to the Master Page via the Pages panel.
  4. Save the file as .afpub.
  5. Save the file as a Package (File > Save As Package).
  6. Open the package in Designer.

Result: You end up with an odd view of the Master Page, with the wrong page size.

Note: Same behavior in both 1.9.2.1035 and 1.10.0.1115 beta. These files are from 1.9.2.1035.

Hi Walt,

Opens as expected on macOS. Sounds silly but are you sure this isn't just a screen redraw issue, I've seen quite a lot of that in the 1.9.x release and the 1.10.x beta's where part of the page doesn't initially display properly when the file is opend. Scrolling the page left/right or up/down so it's off screen then fixes the issue.

Your screengrab seems to be displaying an 8.5 x 11 inch spread based on the margins and size shown but it's just not displaying part of the right page. I don't think it's displaying an odd sized page, I think it's just not displaying the right part of the spread itself. Try scrolling it right until the page is fully off screen and then back again.

Thanks. I'll try that. I did try zoom in/out, which normally fixes redraw issues for me but did not this time. And it's consistent when I Open that file.
