Apple raw

Photos that i have taken on my phone in APPLE raw will not load on Affinity in my  Ipad. Any one having the same issue?

Can you please confirm for me;

What model phone are the RAW images taken on?

Where are these RAW files stored? ie in the Photos app, through Files on your iPad, or in a Cloud location?

What happens when you try and import one of these files? Do you see an error message on screen? Or does the file simply not load for you?

Similar problem, and I've searched "everywhere" for the answer.  

When shooting in ProRaw on native camera or with Halide, and even after choosing "Use Raw as Original" and saving to RAW on Halide, the photo only loads as a jpeg.  And even from my RAW album.  I see only the jpeg extension, and the image looks bright and processed like a jpeg.

If, from the Photos app, I choose Edit with: Affinity, it will open as a TIFF, and not in the Develop Persona.  

And shouldn't it load directly into the Develop Persona if it's a RAW image?

Even if photo Info says DNG, the above still happens.  I can never get an image to open into the Develop Persona automatically.   

I'm sure there's a simple explanation/solution.  

Please enlighten me (before I lose my mind--so please hurry).

Could you please provide a sample of the RAW file that you're attempting to open in the Affinity app please?

Have you tried using the 'Import from Photos' option within the Affinity app? Does this provide the same result when opening from the Photos app using the 'Edit With' option?

Sorry, somehow I just now saw this.

It's any file I take on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, using Pro+ on the native camera or Halide, which of course goes to my Photos library.  There I switch to Use RAW as Original, but they still don't open into the Develop persona.

The file below says RAW + JPG on the image in my Photos library.  Affinity will open it, but treats it as a JPG.

Thanks for your file provided! Unfortunately this is simply a JPEG file when downloaded/opened here - if you open the Affinity Photo app directly, then select + (New file) > Import From Photos and navigate to the image using this method, does it open correctly within the Develop Persona?
