AD - Multiple Size and Resolution for Export persona

Recommended Posts

Hi!

This is the problem I want to resolve: I need the same asset (an icon) at different sizes and relative resolutions

  • Small is 24px
  • Medium is 36px
  • Large is 48px

For each size I need relative @2x

Now I start designing the icon at smallest size, then have to duplicate it for remaining sizes (eg medium, large).

Is it possible to do it directly in Export Persona?

For example adding an area in Slices Studio

Thats a great idea. I have the same problem. A complete icon set for an iPhone app must be exported by hand. The same problem I will have, if I want to create the icon set for the Android version of the app.

What should this extension can:

  • define customized sizes
  • setup suffixes to the slice name like "-Small-40" or "-60" or other. The slice name defines the base file name in this case.
  • Two modes for the export persona: iOS-Mode to export slices for @1x, @2x and/or @3x and an Android-Mode to export for ldpi (Scale 0.75), mdpi (Scale 1.0), hdpi (Scale 1.5) and xhdpi (Scale 2.0). For Android-Mode, the exported images should placed in folder named by the resolutions

This extension will make Affinity Designer to the best tool for creating resources for mobile development.
