firstdefence
Very subjective question As an occasional Windows user, a moderate Linux user and a hardcore, yes I married my iMac, Mac user, I much prefer the Mac, can you tell lol! Going onto a Windows system from using Mac, feels clunky. The higher spec'd windows systems are better, especially if it has an NVME drive. As Walt has touched on, cost becomes a big factor, i.e. what's the upper limit of your budget. jmwellborn 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Somona 14.3.1, iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... I was thinking more that someone with mainly Windows experience should stick with Windows, and someone with mainly Mac experience should stick to Mac. But someone with mainly Linux experience should, probably, also use Mac. However, now that Windows has pretty good Linux support with WSL-2, and more coming, a Linux user getting Windows could also make sense. AlexTheGreen
I've always been impressed by the durability of my Macs I've never had one that didn't last more than 10 years essentially flawlessly. Buying a Mac is usually an investment - it should last longer and perform at a higher level for that time. But it depends what you're after. jmwellborn
jmwellborn
Welcome to the Forums @AlexTheGreen! Not only are Macs durable, but Apple's Technical Support is in a class by itself. A quick call to Apple and an almost immediate connection to a knowledgeable and qualified representative is worth its weight in gold. To me, at least!🤑 firstdefence 1 Quote 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16 GB unified memory, 1 TB SSD storage, Ventura 13.6. Photo, Publisher, Designer 1.10.5, and 2.3.
