Perhaps this is an oversight or really intended as there is no Force pixel alignment or Move By Whole Pixels button in the top toolbar. Looking at the attached image, left part means Snapping off and the right part Snapping on.

Turning Snapping off would mean to me, that there is NO snapping option at all. But both aforementioned options can be set, even Snapping status shows Off. Is there a good reason, why there is no triple snapping button in APu like in AP or AD?

To save space perhaps?

Those buttons (Force pixel alignment and Move By Whole Pixels) are not needed as those options can be found in the drop-down options for snapping and they are independent of whether the main snapping button is on or off

So AP and AD need no space saving? I still have space for approx. 10 buttons in my toolbar in APu. I am just thinking about consistency throughout the three applications.

I don't think consistency is a function the Devs look at for the Toolbar. I think they decide what should be there based on the most useful options for a particular app.

People using APhoto and Designer are more likely to want quick access to "Force pixel alignment" and "Move By Whole Pixels", whereas I see less of a use for it in a Publication app. (Even though it is there if people want/need it)

You will notice that Designer Studio Link Persona and Photo Studio Link Persona in Publisher have those three snapping buttons and what is set in one Studio Link Persona is carried over to all.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
