I created a .afpackage file in Publisher but now, when I go to open the file, it is indicating that "Unpacking requires access to the package folder.  Press Authorise to continue.".  Pressing Authorise results in an error message stating "Cannot open package file 'file.afpackage'. Access to packaged resources was denied."

I am using Publisher 1.9.3 on Mac running MacOS 12 developer beta.  I have set file permissions on the folder and all individual files in the package so that they are read/write, just to check this isn't the issue.

Is anyone able to help me in getting access to my file now?!  Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards

Dean

Hi @firstdefence.  Thanks for querying here.  I had located it on my iCloud Drive but tried duplicating it and putting it directly on my desktop.  After about 4 different attempts, where it failed, it finally actually opened.  I still don't really understand why, but I was able to get into it eventually when located here.

There seems to be issues with iCloud, networks or files located on external devices. For the time being it might be better to create locally and make a copy if iCloud options are needed, Definitely a close call there 😟

You need to copy the entire folder and its contents, not just the .afpackage file.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
