Win/Mac Software

I have the full suite of Affinity products on my windows machine, can I just download the mac versions of them to my macbook pro and enter my details/keys or will I have to purchase again separately?

Purchase again. Separate OS separate licences.

Really? A friend of mine just put his purchased keys in and the software worked perfectly, same situation as mine. That's odd.

As far as I know the Widows license is good for all the Windows computers you'll buy, a Mac license is good for all the Mac computers you'll own. But they are not transferable from a Windows machine to a Mac machine.

This is against the licence agreement. You need to purchase separate licences for each operating system that you run on.
