Can not change the mode of the selection brush

While selecting parts of a picture with the selection brush I had to toggle between modes (add und subtract) several times. And out of the blue I am not able to switch the modes any more. Even if I close and reload the picture, even if I close the whole application and even if I resatrt the computer and than Affinity Photo the mode of the selection brush stays on "subtract" - which means, that I can´t currently really use this important tool !

I am using the german version of Affinity Photo 1.9.2.1035

After resetting all properties it finally worked again. Hence you can close this topic.

Thanks for the update - I would have liked to have found out what was happening. If it happens again, please let us know. 

In future, rather than resetting the app, you can rename its AppData folder which will achieve th same result but you will be able to send the broken folder to us so we can reproduce the issue. The folder is in:

Affinity Store - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 and rename 1.0 to 1.1

or 

Microsoft Store - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Store) and rename 1.0 to 1.1

You can acccess the AppData folder by pressing the Windows key + R on your keyboard and then just type %AppData%
