Data Merge painfully slow right now

One document to be merged with an Excel spreadsheet creating 2367 pages.

1.9.2.1035 with HWA on: You see a constant progress on the bar, without stopping or getting slower. HWA off makes no difference here.

1.10.0.1098 with HWA on: Not responding on loading (sometimes). With HWA off the document opens nearly instantly. The merging starts like in the retail version, but slows massively down after a while. From time to time I see a hiccup in the progress bar, as the bar flashes forth and back.

For comparison: With 1.10.0.1098 I cancelled the merging after 45 minutes, 1.9.2.1035 took 3 minutes for a successful merge.

I've just created an excel spreadsheet with 4000 records and some simple data and it merged in 10-20seconds, the generated document then took another 30 seconds to "catch up" which I'd expect with a 4000+ page document.

If you want to upload the files you are using here I can try with them

I did another test copying everything to desktop from our network drive and adapting the paths. But it still took approx. 3 minutes longer. I can live with that, so is apparently resolved.
