lascivious1 Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 So I took a picture and used the Ellipse tool to create it as a sphere shape image, but I cant get rid of the checkered background, which was part of the original picture. I want to remove that so I can add text around the outside of the picture at the top and bottom. Any suggestions? Quote
h_d Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Go to Document and uncheck Transparent Background You could also add a Fill Layer below the Background image layer if you wanted a background other than white. lascivious1 1 Quote Affinity Photo 2.6.3, Affinity Designer 2.6.3 Affinity Publisher 2.6.3, Mac OSX 15.5, 2018 MacBook Pro 15" Intel.

Is there a way to make the transparent checker larger? so I can fit in fonts at the top and bottom. Quote
R C-R Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 The checkerboard pattern isn't a part of the picture. It is just the pattern Affinity uses to show transparency. If you want more of it to be transparent, either make the ellipse smaller or use the Erase Tool to erase part of the background pixel layer. iconoclast Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Or, if you want to add text at the top and bottom of the image - outside the ellipse - increase the Canvas (menu "Document" > "Resize Canvas"). lascivious1 1 Quote
