Foxtrot
Hi I have checked around everywhere to find the answer before posting this but can't find anything. When I import an image from Apple photos into affinity Photo for iPad any changes I have made in Apple photos are ignored - eg Cropping, and it displays in affinity photo as it originally appeared in Photos before cropping. Is this deliberate, a bug or am I doing something wrong? (The iPad Photoshop app imports the cropped image so it is not an apple issue.) I also turned image B&W in Apple Photos and the import to Affinity Photo for iPad then restored the colour!!!! Many thanks for your help
DM1
Try this. Open Apple photo app and tap on the changed image you want to use Tap the Share icon and select Open in Affinity Photo. Your changes should be retained. There appears to be an issue when opening from the Affinity app that results in Apple photos edits being lost. By design or a bug? Don’t know but it’s been reported ages ago and is still that way. Alfred 1 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Foxtrot
Thanks for your reply. I did try that but tapping the share icon does not give an option to open in affinity photo. If it is a known issue I will live with it - I was just concerned I was doing something wrong to cause it. Regards
Alfred
If you don’t have an ‘Open in Affinity Photo’ option (which is probably only present if you’ve set up a shortcut via the Shortcuts app) try this instead: 1. Open the file in the Photos app. 2. Tap on the ‘Share’ button. 3. Choose the ‘Copy Photo’ option. 4. Go to the home screen in Affinity Photo. 5. Tap on the ‘+’ icon. 6. Choose the ‘New From Clipboard’ option. Simple enough to make a shortcut using the Shortcut app. Here are the required inputs. dvoth 1 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
