Troz Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 Hello, new Affinity user and forum member here. I'm very impressed with Affinity Photo and am pleased to have found it. Have already recommended it to a friend who bought both a Mac and a PC license on the strength of it. I currently shoot large format film (scanned on a Flextight II scanner) and MF with a Hasselblad 501C/M and a Hasselblad CFV-50c digital back . Because the back has no electronic connection to the camera, it has no way of knowing what lens is attached, and hence there is no lens information in the metadata. Hasselblad's Phocus software knows about Hasselblad CF lenses though, so I can manually set the lens model and aperture details when importing RAW files with Phocus. It's a bit fiddly but worth it to have the combination of those wonderful Zeiss lenses and a 50MP sensor. I was hoping to do the same thing with Affinity Photo. Using the resources on the Affinity site, I was able to track down and download the Lensfun database on Github. There is an entry for "Hasselblad 500" but on inspection of the XML it seems to be just a stub. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd be happy to try entering the profiles myself if someone could point me at a source of lens data. Quote

Hi @Trozand Welcome to the Forums, We do use the LensFun database and i'm not aware of another source for profiles. I know normally you would submit an image to LenFuns and they would create a profile and add it to the database. If you able to export an image with that information, you could still do this here and they also have some links on how you can generate the profile yourself, how easy that is, i honestly don't know as it's not something i've had to do.
