Joachim_L Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 Maybe unusual to have so many columns, but why is there a limit? Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed
Old Bruce Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 There are always upper limits to numbers when working with digital computers. But I agree, 48 does seem utterly arbitrary, even though the most I have ever actually used is under a dozen. For a laugh I just made a 25 foot by 3 foot text frame, with the 48 columns at 6 inches wide, and filled it with 11 on 12 point filler text. Just shy of 90 thousand words. Amazing how well the new beta worked compared to the retail in terms of working with it. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
MikeTO Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 If you need more you could just create a second text frame on the spread and link them. I think 48 is a high limit for this feature but InDesign offers 40 so Serif likely couldn't go lower due to IDML import. garrettm30 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.5, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
