Federaik Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 Hello everyone, I am creating an art catalog of my father's work and have noticed that when data merging all the fields referencing images bigger than 5MB get skipped in the generation process. Is this a bug? did you experience the same? I could batch resize or compress further the images but I'd prefer not to be forced to... Quote

Federaik Posted July 5, 2021 Author Posted July 5, 2021 Yes, don't really know how to delete this one Quote
Old Bruce Posted July 5, 2021 Posted July 5, 2021 The only time I have images skipped is down to me having the wrong file path in the field. It could be a coincidence that they are over 5 MB in size. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Federaik Posted July 5, 2021 Author Posted July 5, 2021 I tried resizing all of them, it actually skips some anyways, there is no path, they are all in the same folder and filename fields look correct and identical in sintax between skipped and included ones Quote
Federaik Posted July 5, 2021 Author Posted July 5, 2021 Ok, I tried merging the csv file in a different folder where the images weren't available and the same skipping of entries happens. I am attaching the CSV and publisher files in case anyone wants to try it out. Luzi - Il viaggio e la luce - Simone Martini.csv Luzi - ViaggioLuce.afpub Quote

Federaik Posted July 5, 2021 Author Posted July 5, 2021 Ok it looks like it skips the first two entries, fill in 3 and 4, then skips 5,6 and fills in 7,8 and so on, it looks like I have set up the layout wrong... but I don't understand how. I would like two entries for each page, that's all. The files are attached in my previous post. Quote
Federaik Posted July 5, 2021 Author Posted July 5, 2021 Ok, it looks like I had an extra data merge layout layer, sorry for bothering Sometimes you just need to talk to someone Old Bruce and h_d 2 Quote
