Can Affinity Designer brush heads be rotated?

In Affinity Photo it's possible to rotate the brush head for the effect shown in the attached image.

Is there any way to do this in Designer? I'd like to draw the shape, then apply the brush for a chisel head marker type effect

This is possible in the Pixel Persona of Affinity Designer - however this is essentially using the same brushes/techniques that you're using in Affinity Photo.

Unfortunately I don't believe this is possible with Vector brushes currently, my apologies. I recommend checking out the following thread, where this has been discussed previously -
