Hello!

I'm designing a yearbook for our school. I created master pages for this. The text always jumps on a master page (see photo). Unfortunately I cannot find out why this is. Does somebody has any idea? The text is linked to a previous page. I would be very grateful if someone had an idea. If I highlight the text and click on the actual text style again, the text is correct again. But it can happen that it jumps again immediately.

Thanks! Niels

Hallo!

Vielen Dank!

Niels

Welcome to the forums @Nielo78

I have some quick suggestions you can try while waiting for expert help:
1. Use menu “Text → Show Special Characters” to show things like line breaks. Do you see anything after “enge”?
2. Check the Bottom Inset values for the frame on the left via the Text Frame Panel. Does it have a large value?
3. Check that you don’t have any (white) shapes where the text should be which could be altering the text flow.

From what you said about the text styles these are probably not causing the issue but if you can check and post your results then it will help others with the extra information.

One thing that messes up the text flow is Keep Paragraph Together and or Keep With Next n Lines (n being a number). These are found in the Flow options in the Paragraph Styles section of the Text Styles or Paragraph Styles.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
