glenn4121 Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 Affinity Photo - after rotating an image a little, the cropping grid is also rotated. What if I want the cropping grid to be horizontal/vertical despite the rotation of the image? How do I do this? Quote
firstdefence Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 @glenn4121 Sounds like you have rotated the canvas which will rotate the crop grid and the image. Go to View > Reset Rotation To rotate the image with the crop grid active move your cursor outside of the image and crop grid, left click and hold and move the cursor up or down to rotate clockwise or anti-clockwise. In the status bar, bottom left, you have a few keystroke hints. glenn4121 Posted July 4, 2021 Author Posted July 4, 2021 Thanks for your reply. (So rotate with the move tool is the solution). Quote

You can rotate with the Crop Tool instead. See attached video and watch where the mouse pointer is and how it changes shape depending on where it is. 2021-07-04 08-34-53.mp4 Quote
glenn4121 Posted July 4, 2021 Author Posted July 4, 2021 Huh! Well that's great. Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate that! Quote
