Import Raw photo with sRGB profile in Affinity photo i pad

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

RAW files don't have sRGB profiles. In general they don't have profiles at all, in that sense.

However, that message usually comes from Opening a file in the Photo Persona, not the Develop Persona, and a RAW file should not open into the Photo Persona. This leads me to wonder what kind of file you really have. Can you give us some more details about that produced the photo, and what kind of image it is (file type)?

Can you attach a copy of the file for us to look at.

Looking at the pixelated background I suspect it’s importing the jpg icon associated with the raw file. Where is the RAW file stored? If on cloud, try downloading to iPad first.

I'm sure you are correct as we do have an issue like this logged with Development.

@Dave007Which make and model camera are you using?

sorry . i should mention color space instand of profiles.
set sRGB in color space. after i set to Adobe RGB and try again , it is possible to import and direct go to raw development. that is why i suspect that Affinity is not support in sRGB color space.

Hi @Dave 007,

This is a known issue for RAW files from the D800, we see it most with portrait orientated photos.

I'll give the report a nudge and leave a link to this thread, so i can update here when it's been resolved.

thanks.

The issue "NEF opens pixelated from Photos" (REF: AFP-3370) has been fixed by the developers in build "2.2.0 Release".
This fix should be checkable in the current customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
