I recently had a major PC crash. I'm back up and running, reinstalled all the Affinity programes, but I've lost all my Assets... I remember I had downloaded a load of assets... logos (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube etc etc). Anyone know where I can find these assets and re-install them?

Thank you

If you have a backup (before reinstalling) you will find the asset.propcol in your user preference folder of APub.

To download your previous "load of assets" you would probably find them were you got them initially (how could we know about the "load"?) – it may depend on their initial file type, e.g. downloaded as images & created assets from them by yourself in Affinity, or downloaded as Affinity asset already? In case of the latter a search in the forum might help, there seem to be various threads with links, more or less unsorted & filled over time. For instance this.

@MEB has a list of various linked resources on his website http://www.miguelboto.com/affinity/resources/, incl. a social media icon asset at the end. Unfortunately the file paths for some of these links don't work, I vague remember there was a note about a change in the serif.com server file paths (affecting also linked tutorial videos), but I can't find it any more.

For some of the links it appears to work if you alter them manually by moving "forum/" to the front of the URL & replace / with .
For instance:

Current URL on miguelboto.com:
https://affinity.serif.com/forum/index.php/?/topic/27003-social-media-icon-asset/

Modified URL:
https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/27003-social-media-icon-asset/

• MacBookPro Retina 15" |  macOS 10.14.6  | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
• iPad 10.Gen.  |  iOS 18.5.  |  Affinity V2.6
