ericosmosNEW
Hey all, is there a way to mask away parts of vector shapes without the need of rasterizing the layer? Snipping away parts of a vector could be an alternative, too. What doesn’t work in my case is the the subtracting function, since I don’t want it to create an outline at those borders. I hope I could make myself clear 🙄

You need to subtract from a separate shape, and then use the new shape to mask the original one. For example, if you want to take a bite out of this piece of bread you can cover it with a rectangle, take a bite out of the rectangle and then, in the Layers panel, drag the ‘bitten rectangle’ layer and drop it onto the thumbnail of the bread layer: DM1 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 16.7.2 (iPad 7th gen)
