apologies if this has been covered before, but I can't find anything in faq's etc

I am printing out a set of labels - text and a small image graphic. The labels look great on screen.

When I print out the page, the text is nice and crisp but the image is blurred - a jpeg of a Maran hen. I've exported to pdf and printed in publisher, but same thing happens.

I can sort of reproduce this problem if I change view mode from vector to pixels - the hen is blurred on screen (less so with retina pixels)

The solution must be obvious, but I can't see it

Thanks for your help

Thanks for the reply

I have just tried adding other images to the page - same result

So I then looked at the document setup - it was set to 72dpi - I had imported a template for labels from the web as a pdf. Resetting this to 300dpi and then rescale has sorted out this problem - the hen is sharp once again.

I was confused by the fact that it appeared sharp on the screen, but my screen experience was not replicated in print - a basic error!
