I am writing a book and use Affinity to make the script reader-friendly.
Will I have to buy a license to use a font in Affinity for printing/publishing the book I am making?
Or can I use the fonts without thinking of licenses and such things?

Kind regards from a confused writer: Gro

If the font is a legal copy - bought or already came with your OS - and has no restrictions whatsoever, I cannot imagine any reason why not using the font safely. Could you name the font please?

Thanks, @Joachim_L !
The font is Perpetua.

And just a question to show my age: What does OS stand for?

Kind regards

Gro

OS = Operating System

Win 11 Pro, intel i7 14700, NVidia GTX 4060, 32G RAM, intel UHD 770.

Long-time user of Serif products, chiefly PagePlus and PhotoPlus, but also WebPlus, CraftArtistProfessional and DrawPlus.  Delighted to be using Affinity Designer, Photo, and now Publisher, version 1 and now version 2.

iPad Pro (12.9") (iOS 18.2) running Affinity Photo and Designer version 1 and all three version 2 apps.

Affinity does not use any custom fonts, it only uses those installed in the OS. Therefore, if you have installed in the OS and subsequently used only the fonts supplied with the OS, or fonts for which you have a license (or they can be intended for free use), then there is no problem with their use.
