Are only downloads appropriate for an application shown from that app on my account?

I see a number of downloads on more than one program when I open a given application and bring up my account.  Should I install them separately on each application they appear in?  Else, how do I know which works with which?

If you want to use them within an application you must have them installed in that application. You can do that manually (1 download, multiple manual installs) or via My Account (1 download per application, each with its own automatic install).

By default, an application will only display items applicable to that application. But there's an option via the My Account hamburger menu to show the incompatible ones, too:

The incompatible ones will not download or install via the My Account dialog; the display just lets you know that you have them, but they won't work there.
